Eileen is an award winning show, based on the true life story of Dawn's grandmother, Eileen.
It is beautifully told with comedic and emotional scenes, both on and off the trapezes.
Dawn Pascoe is a professional trapeze artist, actress and a specialist in Circus - Theatre. She weaves stunning trapeze routines with emotional content, monologues and live music. She creates rich imagery and powerful theatre while telling the heart breaking true stories of her grandmother, Eileen.
In 2006, this show won "Best Solo Show" at Wellington Fringe Festival.
4 years on, and "Eileen" has been completely revamped. Not only has every scene been reworked and rechoreographed, but For the first time in 10 years, Dawn is sharing the stage with her musician/ actor/ opera singing brother Clint Strindberg.
See what these two talented siblings can do whilst tackling a story which is very close to their hearts.
Depicting the life of Eileen, (her eccentric grandmother) Dawn dramatically portrays a woman of grace, beauty and a sense of humour that depends on her inner strength to survive when her world spins out of control and others claim her soul.
When she married an engineer her life changed – for the worse. Only referred to as HIM, the husband not only abused her in every way, put their five children into foster care but organized for Eileen to be institutionalized and receive electric shock treatment. Regular bashings at the institution saw Eileen fight back but it was an unforeseen tragedy that sent her over the edge.
“Every trapeze routine shows the emotion of Eileen and what she is going through, rather than watching a pretty trapeze act,” said Dawn who, by using the trapeze and her body, magnificently wrings every emotion from torture, betrayal, grief, making love and rape, and offers it to the audience.

Catch Me is the brightest Aerial Circus Show around. You will find yourself laughing, cheering and holding your breath as the performers do death defying stunts... in a comedic and beautiful way!
It's performed by Dawn Pascoe and Nick Candy and is sure to blow your socks off with performances in acrobatics, trapeze, tissu, double trapeze... and clowning!
Catch Me can be performed from Natural Wings' Aerial Rig, or from a pre existing structure such as an indoor basketball court.
Able to travel... anywhere!
